Wildrice Soup

Pretty easy and delicious soup AND I won't bombard you with a storytime until the end of the recipe, if I decide I care enough. If you wanna read it, scroll down. Maybe eventually I'll figure out how to code the jump ahead thing.


Ingredients:

  1. 3 tbsp butter
  2. 2 medium celery stalks
  3. 1 cup baby carrots
  4. 1 green pepper
  5. 1 onion
  6. 4 garlic cloves
  7. ¼ cup flour
  8. 1 cup water
  9. 2 cups vegetable broth
  10. 1 ½ cup cooked rice
  11. 1 cup milk
  12. Seasoning of your choice

Directions:

  1. Prepare veggies:
    1. Cut up your veggies into bite size pieces (soup size)
    2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat
    3. Throw all veggies in (excpet garlic) and stir for 4 minutes. Then add garlic for 1 minute
  2. Cooking soup:
    1. Spinkle in flour and seasonings (guide on separate link) and stir
    2. Add water, broth, and cooked wildrice. Bring the soup to a boil then down to medium high to simmer
    3. Simmer for 15 minutes then turn off heat
    4. Add milk
    5. Let your soup sit until its cool enough to refrigerate or eat up!!!!
