Tortillas

I won't bombard you with a storytime until the end of the recipe, if I decide I care enough. If you wanna read it, scroll down. Maybe eventually I'll figure out how to code the jump ahead thing.


Ingredients:

  1. 3 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 tsp salt
  3. 1 tsp baking powder
  4. ⅓ cup vegetable oil (I prefer avocado)
  5. 1 cup warm water (105°-110°)

Directions:

  1. Make the dough:
    1. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl
    2. Add eveything else
    3. Knead for 2 minutes
  2. Prepping dough:
    1. Divide into 16 pieces
    2. Lightly flatten the dough (not all the way flat)
    3. Let the dough sit for 15 minutes
  3. Making tortillas!:
    1. Heat large pan to medium-high heat
    2. Lighty flour a surface and use a glass or rolling pin to flatten the pieces into tortilla shapes
    3. Put flattened tortilla dough onto pan for 45 seconds then flip and cook for another 30 seconds
    4. Repeat until eveything is done
    5. All done, enjoy!
