Tortillas
I won't bombard you with a storytime until the end of the recipe, if I decide I care enough. If you wanna read it, scroll down. Maybe eventually I'll figure out how to code the jump ahead thing.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil (I prefer avocado)
- 1 cup warm water (105°-110°)
Directions:
- Make the dough:
- Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl
- Add eveything else
- Knead for 2 minutes
- Prepping dough:
- Divide into 16 pieces
- Lightly flatten the dough (not all the way flat)
- Let the dough sit for 15 minutes
- Making tortillas!:
- Heat large pan to medium-high heat
- Lighty flour a surface and use a glass or rolling pin to flatten the pieces into tortilla shapes
- Put flattened tortilla dough onto pan for 45 seconds then flip and cook for another 30 seconds
- Repeat until eveything is done
- All done, enjoy!
